Sabrina Nagel is a creative thinker, educator, and systems innovator with over 15 years of experience at the intersection of education, technology, and entrepreneurship. She thrives on connecting ideas, people, and perspectives to reimagine what learning can look like.
Sabrina is the founder of Ako Space, a future-focused primary school designed to foster creativity, curiosity, and real-world problem-solving from the earliest years. She is also the founder of Ignite Innovation, where she builds entrepreneurial capability in young people and educators alike.
With a Master’s degree focused on enterprise in the New Zealand education system, Sabrina brings both academic rigour and grassroots insight to her work. Her leadership as a CO.STARTERS facilitator and trainer has supported hundreds of learners, educators, and start-ups in activating their ideas. She is also a proud MIT LEAP Fellow, collaborating globally with researchers and social entrepreneurs to strengthen education systems and evidence-informed practice.
Sabrina has worked for 8 years at Auckland University of Technology, where she co-developed a range of entrepreneurial programmes and created systems to support students turning their passions into action. Today, she continues to share her expertise with the Longworth Education team, bringing a rich systems-level lens to the work of supporting innovation in schools.
