Amber is a highly experienced classroom teacher, based in Wellington and currently holds the Play Lead position at Oxford Crescent School, Upper Hutt.  She is a passionate play advocate, with a special interest in extending children’s school experiences into nature play.  In 2022, she was responsible for piloting the school’s first ‘Bush School’ experience.  This was a resounding success and confirmed its place in the school calendar for 2023.  Amber has experience in implementing Structured Literacy within a well-functioning play based classroom, and in working with students with high and challenging behaviour and learning needs.
